 General information
GPS coordinates : take off : 34°51'43" (34.8621)N; 128°36'57" (128.616)E - Elevation : 450 m.
landing : 34°51'28" (34.8579)N; 128°35'52" (128.598)E - Elevation : 50 m.
Take off : Open wide square shaped grass area cut out. Area is slope at an angle that your glider slide down a little when you lay it out. Clear maintained by club members. Drive up cement/gravel road. Be aware of hike ring and bikers using same road.
Landing : Dedicated landing area you can see from take off once pointed out. Its the only area without vegetables or rice. Area is small so need good restricted land field practice. Field is partially surrounded by power lines. For the sake of the inhabitants and yourself avoid.
Going there : na.
Comments : If visiting contact the local club. If living here for anytime join the local DSME paragliding club and support the cause of maintaining the site and relations. I'm (StephenRM) here until Dec 2011 and 2012,13 contact me if you need more info.
Weather hazards : Launch is not at top of ridge. Rotor over top can be mistaken for updraft into launch. Check conditions on peak by walking or driving the 100m greater altitude to assure direction is real.
Flight regulation : Contact the local DSME Paragliding club before flying. In the case of English speakers that would be me (StephenRM).

Website : not available
Tourism  : The 2 major cities on the island: Geoje and Okpo. Both cities support the construction of floating structures (Ships/Rigs/FPSO's etc) at 2 major Korean Shipyards: SHI and DSME. There are many foreigners here supporting the projects so there are plenty of 'western' restaurants and bars. The local food is about 1/5 the cost so I advice that.
