 General information
GPS coordinates : take off : 25°4'4" (25.0679)N; 55°48'49" (55.8137)E - Elevation : 200 m.
landing : 25°4'4" (25.0679)N; 55°48'49" (55.8137)E - Elevation : 150 m.
Take off : 150m-200m MSL. Sanddune in front of Jebel Faya. NW direction (310 degrees).
Landing : 150m MSL. Bottom of the sanddune or toplanding.
Going there : take the road E611 from Dubai to Northern Emirates. Take the exit with the sign (Kalba, Eastern Region, Siyouh). it will be the Maleha road (E102). follow this road for around 18km. then take the exit to Batayhe, Mahafiz, Ibn Rasheed. In the rondabout just go right to Mahafiz. follow this road (S149) for 4.5km. take the next road to the left and follow this road for 11km. on the left side you can see the sanddune. take the gravel road to the bottom of the dune.
Comments : normaly it's good to fly after around 3pm.

to have an idea about the weather condition there you can call Sharjah ATIS (Automatic Terminal Information Service). +971 6 508 49 99. Sharjah Int. Airport is just 35km away.

the reported wind should be somewhere between 280-340 degrees, 8-11kts)

best condition to fly there is, when the wind at the bottom of the sanddune is around 5-10km/h.

be aware of altitude restrictions. sensitive area because the flying site is in the approach to Dubai and Sharjah Int. Airport.
Weather hazards : -strong wind condition or sandstorm
-sometimes the wind is from the side. be careful with rotors around the cliff
-the wind can be very strong at higher altitude.


Flight regulation : MAX Altitude of 1500ft MSL or 500m MSL!!! the flying site is in the final approach of Dubai and Sharjah Int. Airport.
it's IMPORTANT to follow the altitude restrictions!!
