 General information
GPS coordinates : take off : 17°58'7" (17.9688)N; 77°42'57" (77.716)W - Elevation : 603 m.
landing : 17°57'49" (17.9638)N; 77°43'49" (77.7305)W - Elevation : 15 m.
Take off : Drive-up on rough road;
Takeoff towards SW from shallow slope.
Landing : Top-landing possible, but please respect local vegetable farmers;
normal LZ on the flats below - cattle land; watch out for barbed wire fences!
Going there : Drive to Santa Cruz and turn S at traffic lights. Follow road S then turn right in Malvern. Follow road until you get to street crossing almost on top of the mountain and continue through big open gate posts SW towards launch sites in new development (New Malvern).
Comments : Rumor has it that a visiting pilot from San Francisco has flown from here in April 2010 about 20 km upwind (SSE) to Southfield and back.
Weather hazards : Sometimes strong easterly trade winds are an impediment. They make launching impossible.
