 General information
GPS coordinates : take off : 33°45'25" (33.7572)N; 116°49'22" (116.823)W - Elevation : 1060 m.
Take off : Launch is a little hill (Little F*****g Bump) at 3,500' elevation facing generally West. Hike up dirt road from parking area on back (East) side of hill. Bench up using the larger hill to the East of the LFB and jump to any of the other hills to the North and Southeast if enough lift.
Landing : LZ is directly across from the entrance to Bee Canyon on Highway 74 at an elevation of 2,000'. LZ is tapered, and is about 250' at the widest by about 1000' long. There are two abandoned buildings and a large oak tree, but plenty of space to land. No official permission has been obtained to use this LZ at present, but it is not fenced or posted.

Going there : From Florida Avenue in downtown Hemet, head East towards Idyllwild. Florida becomes Highway 74. Bee Canyon Road begins at:

Follow the dirt road up the canyon in a generally northward direction to a wide area, which is where 3-4 dirt roads meet. This will be at the North end of a small hill. Follow the main road around the backside of the hill (the other roads go towards the North) and it will zig zag up the mountain and around the launch hill. Park in the obvious wide spot on the back side of the launch hill.
Comments : This area was just pioneered 4th of July 2009, so not much information yet. It appears to be good for winds coming across the Hemet/San Jacinto Valley from the Southwest through Northwest. There are several hills nearby facing West and Southwest, with Indian Mountain, Idyllwild Ponds and Chimney Flats within reach on a good day.
Weather hazards : The backstop for this area is Mount San Jacinto, which develops thunderstorms in the summer.
