The simulation comes in three differents flavors :

• The free flight mode : fly from any place in the world.
  Select your start place by clicking it on a map and fly it for pure virtual fun.
  If you've choosen not to take off from some mountain place, you can even set your starting altitude as if you would have your own winch.
   
• Real-life flying : fly from real-life paragliding sites.
  Use the paraglidingearth.com pg sites database to enjoy flying on the real landscape from googleearth wordwide.
  Flights can be saved and will appear on the paraglidingearth corresponding site page.
   
• Take the challenge : the online pgSim competition.
  As a registered member, you can compete against all other pilots on some defined tasks, distance and speed are the criteria, just like in real competition tasks.
  Tasks are created by pilots, setting the turnpoints and weather conditions.
  A points calculation on each task allows to have a global ranking : see if you can take the lead !
   

In all theses versions, the weather conditions can be set by the pilot and will affect the flight !
In the competition tasks, all pilots will meet the same weather conditions, set by the task author, and that are fully part of the proposed challenge.
