 General information
GPS coordinates : take off : 40°2'50" (40.0473)N; 105°17'56" (105.299)W - Elevation : 1875 m.
landing : 40°3'18" (40.0551)N; 105°17'27" (105.291)W - Elevation : 1708 m.
Take off : 35-45 Minutes hike from end of Locust St. in Boulder. Three launch sites, with a maximum of 600 ft. vertical.
Landing : Ample, grassy area by the parking area.
Going there : West end of Locust St. in the Northern end of Boulder, west of Broadway St.
Comments : This site seems to have substantial potential. As pilots discover these possibilities it becomes more of a paragliding heaven. For exmple, during the Spring-Summer-Autumn 2007 flight season, 2 hour flights at some 3000+ ft AGL are frequent. But there is more: XC flying is hot at North Boulder!
Weather hazards : Beware of Westerly winds and thunderstorms!
