GPS coordinates : take off : 15°15'21" (15.256)S; 47°30'17" (47.5048)W - Elevation : 1251 m.
Take off : All ramps are natural; cliff launch. Possibility of three simul-taneous take-offs.
Landing : Several landing zones in the plain behind the ramp. Emergency landing possible in Geraldo’s ranch. The landing area just below the take-off ramp is considered an emergency landing zone because it’s circa 59 miles from the take-off ramp, via the town of Formosa.
Going there : Circa 55 miles from Brasília on GO-118 state road heading to Alto Paraíso. On km 25 there’s a sign on the right-hand side showing 'Vôo Livre' (hangliding); exit on the dirt access road, then drive for circa 4.5 miles.
Comments : Strong thermals and XC possibilities.
Weather hazards : Strong winds and turbulent landing areas. Not recommended for inexperienced pilots.
